Scenes from Philo: June - September (Summer 2022)

It is December 1, and we are well toward the end of Fall and turning our hearts and minds toward this season of Advent and Christmas with plans to get Christmas trees and wind down the year 2022. BUT, I never shared our observations of Philo throughout the summer, so, though I’m far later than I anticipated, I still want to chronicle the changes we are witnessed as we look at Philo with curiosity and observe the changes that happen without our intervention as the seasons change.

Speaking of change, we went through the remodel process on our house throughout the summer (and unfortunately much has been left that still needs to be finished), we found out we are expecting baby number 4 and almost immediately it seemed my body started changing to acclimate to this new little life inside, and we started another year of homeschooling - an adventure we never anticipated, and yet here we are. I started some design projects and between the busyness of those projects, pregnancy fatigue that decided to last well into my second trimester, and the demands (and opportunities) of daily life, I am limited in my capacity and noticed my creativity seeming to slowly dwindle like the leaves of the trees falling to the ground. It’s all a season. I know. So, as I look back on the photos from Philo this summer, I do so with a bit of joy. Despite my feelings, life continues, nature keeps doing its thing and we find ourselves going from season to season.

So without further ado, here are scenes from Philo, Summer 2022.
