Connection Cards: for personal or group reflection

These connection cards are great for personal reflection on your own or in a group. I’ve used them in group settings where people chose the questions that spoke to them and journaled responses. You can use these however you see fit. Some ideas:

  • Personal retreat: Take some time (whether 30 minutes or several hours) and respond to the questions that resonate with you. You can journal your responses, or respond with singing, drawing or painting, simply take a walk and talk with God about it, etc. There’s no set rule, other than being honest and not doing this alone but invite the Holy Spirit to be with you. Receive the hospitality of God toward you as you venture together.

  • Group retreat: You can combine some aspects of the personal retreat and do a answer the questions individually and then have a debrief session with the group at the end. Or you can answer the questions in a group, sharing your responses out loud together. Again, do what is most helpful to everyone in achieving the goals of honesty and presence with God.

  • Other ideas are to choose a question or two each week or month and go over them with your discipleship group/bible study or a group of trusted friends.

These cards are free to you via this download button; however, if you’d like to support the work of Grace & Cherish, you can purchase them through the Store here.
